Your self-managed super fund (SMSF) needs a bank account in your fund's name to manage the fund's operations and accept contributions of super and income from investments.
The fund's bank account must be kept separate from the trustees' individual bank accounts and any related employers or adviser's bank accounts.
Each SMSF trustee has a responsibility to protect the fund's assets and meet their obligations under super law. This includes maintaining a separate SMSF bank account.
You can update your SMSF's bank account details through your registered agent.
